Mission Statement
Our mission is to amplify the impact of international visiting artists and scholars in Art & Design, Culture and Humanities. Through collaboration, global engagement and professional development, we cultivate a vibrant community that fosters transformative dialogue, encourages creativity and promotes the understanding of diverse perspectives.
IVAS Objectives
To fulfil our mission, our objectives set out to enrich the experiences of our community by providing a platform for international knowledge exchange, hosting varied seminars and workshops, advising on academic visitor opportunities, facilitating mentorship and peer support, supporting in-country visits and events, and assisting in projects initiated by IVAS members.
Our Projects
Our projects are a testament to our passion for cross-disciplinary collaborations, initiated and delivered by our community of artist and social science academics and practitioners. Through our shared interests, we explore creative approaches, creating meaningful connections that challenge boundaries and promote a deeper understanding of the cultures we live in.

Our community is built on the values of accessible collaborations, embracing the ethos of inclusivity and cooperation. We welcome individuals who share our enthusiasm and are positive about collaborating. With a diverse mix of artists, designers, academics, educators, early career researchers and professionals, we are committed to creating a multicultural space to inform our practice.
